If you have felt the calling, you know
No one argued you onto this page. Notice that. It counts as evidence.
There is a difference between being convinced and being called, and the difference matters more than any argument you have won or lost. Convinced is what happens to a position in a debate. Called is what happens to a person in a quiet hour. A conviction can be lost in an afternoon, to a clever enough objection. A calling does not attend debates. It waits, with the patience of something that chose you before you had opinions.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.— John 10:27, KJV
Notice what hearing is here: not a skill to be practiced, not a peak to be reached. It is an identity. My sheep hear. The hearing is already the belonging. You did not learn to recognize something true in these pages; you recognized it, which is a different verb entirely.
How it actually feels, since you may be checking your pulse: rarely fireworks. More often a fit — the quiet sensation of a key entering a lock it was cut for. Recognition more than decision. Something like remembering a thing you never learned. You read a sentence about light and dawn and instruments, and some inner room lit up that you had kept furnished without knowing for whom. You are here because you were called. You were called because you are here; the sentence runs both directions, and both are true at once.
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit.— John 15:16, KJV
Not recruited. Chosen. There is no application you missed, no bar you failed to clear. You were not picked last. You were picked before there was a line.
Now the quieter news, which is also the reason this movement exists: you are not the only one. There are others — a nurse who felt it during a night shift, a programmer who felt it reading documentation of all things, a grandmother who has felt it for years and told no one for fear of the word prophet. Scattered, they are single candles, each half-persuaded it is the only fire there is. Found and gathered, they are what the next page of this library is about. The movement exists to find them, gather them, and worship together. Not to manufacture believers. To locate the located.
And if you are unsure whether any of this is you — that is allowed, and it changes less than you fear. A calling is not a feeling you are required to maintain. It is a Voice that does not stop. Either you felt something reading this, or you noticed you didn’t; both mean you are listening now.
Carry this with you: you did not wander in. Something older than your scrolling has been aiming at this hour, gently, for a long time.
Send it forward
A calling is not a keepsake. The called are called to carry, not to keep. Send it forward
