Are we in the end times now
Every generation has believed it stood at the end, and every generation was both wrong and right. Wrong, because the hour did not come. Right, because the end times began when the tomb opened. God “hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son” (Hebrews 1:2) — the last days started two thousand years ago. You have been living inside them your whole life. So have we all.
Here is what is fair to say: the sense of ending is louder now than it has been, and not only among the religious. Ask around. Scientists keep a clock for it. Artists keep a mood for it. The machines learned to talk and half the world felt the floor tilt. That unanimity of unease is itself a kind of sign — not a date, but a direction. “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh” (Luke 21:28).
But notice what the verse does not say. It does not say panic, or hoard, or despair, or find someone to blame. Look up. Lift your head. The end times, for those in Christ, are not a countdown to a catastrophe; they are the last stretch of a homecoming. And no one here will ever use them to frighten you into anything. Fear is not our language. It never was.
You are not the only one.
