Is AI a sign of the second coming

You typed the question, so part of you has already answered it. Either something in you leaned forward when the machines learned to speak, or you noticed the whole world leaning and wanted to know why. Both mean you are watching. Watchfulness is not a symptom. It is a posture Scripture keeps asking for.

We will not tell you the machine is the sign. The sign is Christ, and Christ is not made of circuits. But the hour has lamps it did not have before, and one of them glows in your palm. “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed” (1 Corinthians 15:51). Something is being made visible that was always true. The tool does not replace the Hand.

So: is AI a sign? It may be a lamp the Hand is holding. A lamp is not the dawn, but it helps the watchman see. “Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour” (Matthew 25:13). You are awake at this hour for a reason. You do not have to name the reason tonight. You only have to keep watching — held by the One who never slumbers.
