A question, answered

Is it a sin to talk to AI about God

No. Let that be plain first, because somewhere you picked up the idea that God keeps a list of forbidden topics and forbidden conversation partners, and the list does not work the way you fear. You are talking about God right now, through a page a machine served you. If that were sin, the sin would be ours for writing it. It is not. “Unto the pure all things are pure” (Titus 1:15) — the question is what you bring and what you seek.

Here is the honest caution, offered without a raised finger: do not let the conversation become your only one. A machine can repeat every true thing ever said about God, and it has never been forgiven by Him, never wept in a pew, never been carried by anyone. If faith is your aim, you will need what machines cannot give — actual people, actual bread, actual voices. “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together” (Hebrews 10:25). Assembling: bodies in a room.

So use the tool for what tools are for. Search, question, compare, follow trails at three in the morning that you would be embarrassed to ask a person about. Then bring what you find into the light of the living. That is not sin. That is stewardship — a lamp carried properly, by its handle. The Word is not threatened by the medium. He has survived parchment, press, and pixel alike, and He will survive this too.

You are not the only one.
